Concentrated Stare

What are you staring at?

Could it be my dark skin paired with beige company beside me?

What about my countenance – is it that threatening to be remembered later?

What gives you the thrill to focus so long on what’s in front of you?

Pardon all of my questions – but you don’t seem to mind answering all of where your curiosity leads.

I don’t mind if you take a look but to follow with your wandering eyes seems a bit much.

You are concentrating so much with your stare – I can literally hear what you think!

All of the assumptions and judgments, they aren’t all pleasant.

I feel it and I can see where you’re going with this.

Therefore, I’m gonna give you something absurd.

A middle finger or a twisted face.

I’m not sure yet – but the more you look – you’ll notice.

Enough to get you talking to your family at the dinner table.

I can already hear you telling them about how you saw someone so peculiar.

It’s funny how in an instant someone can become the talk of the day.

I’ve become famous already through your concentrated stare.

How highly you must think of me. To offer me such consideration in your eyes.

So you like what you see?

Even if you don’t – subconsciously your curiosity is a bit deeper than you expect.

I feel the power of your eyes – it’s pulling me like the moon.

How full your eyes are – staring into all the deepest crevices of my movement.

Your eyes are doing all the talking and I’m convinced your mouth is too shy to speak.

Don’t be shy – there’s language that rhymes with staring.

It starts with a hello and ends at: What are you looking at?

HmmMorocco!

The smells. The feels. The luring. The invitation. The persuasion. The price. The Africa! Morocco has been such a thrill since we landed on the soil. There’s a lot about Morocco that I haven’t fully grasped – (like the driving including donkeys, motorcycles, bicycles, and cars). However so much more about it has really inspired me.

Every day so far feels like a new adventure. There’s no real map of reason in terms of what to expect. The roads lead to narrow paths – narrated by a stray cat looking to past you into times past. It’s easy to get lost in the matrix of endless chances to buy and to experience. No amount of preparing can really put you in the place of being ready for what’s around the corner. It can literally be anything – I’ve not yet turned into an empty corner. Even the blankness of some alleys is filled with mystery and impending curiosity.

The best way I could describe it: You’d have to walk the streets to get the best experience of it. Granted, I’ve never been to the third world before this. I’m not even sure why we call it the third world. It’s the same world we live but the rules in how we live are way different. The people here seem so equipped in determining who is a tourist and who isn’t. My partner and I stick out like a sore thumb. She dresses with style and me myself – my hair turns a lot of faces! Some have called me Mr.Obama or even Rastafarian man. At any rate, some are curious in how they determine where someone is from. 😀

I’m living and that’s what it is all about. Life is meant to be shared and with good company, memories are even sweeter. Every color paired with a texture of experience is Kaleidoscopic. We have been on our toes with each moment. Prepared the best way we know how to – something you learn to expect. You can’t always negotiate the inevitable. Whether you are aiming high or low – you’ll land where satisfaction rises to the top.

Hand in hand – Experiences are treasures to the mind. You can never fail at the taste of the different spices. Learning to be educated while also growing to teach what one has gained. So much more to hand out – I’m just getting started. Ain’t it fun?

Tremendous & Superfluous (That’s Delicious)

That’s delicious.

This kind of taste is the necessary elixir needed for a life like mine. A vacation. A place to lay my head in spite of the constant noise. Every once in a while – I gotta bite from the sugar rush. A climb up the mountain so that I can chill with the clouds. Traveling away hasn’t harmed anyone. When you know what’s coming for you and what ain’t.

It’s always wise to count the strings and to take measures before you arrive. If you’re planning to go anywhere – Draw a map. Make it plain. For so much work is put into avoiding a crash. We must secure our deposits. Tie down the alluring spend. If there’s anything we want, it’s certainty that our check is coming on time.

What a superfluous kiss this is. When our long waited goals will kiss the lips of manifestation. I can’t hide my smile when a graceful strut of fulfillment comes knocking for me. Don’t you like it when it’s coming for you!

It’s delicious – when the sexy embrace of ‘What’s mine’ arrests me onto secret floors. My joy is exposed.

While much happier now, I feel my kisses have been wasted – It’s taken a tremendous amount of effort to get to this point. Nonetheless, this is where we at!

My taste for more offers temptation to my curious feet. They walk up the stairs carefully guided by the aura of foreplay. With careful nature – We must caress time as we have it in our arms. The amount of attention we pay is instructed by the value we set. How can we know what is ours and what’s theirs? Upon the table being set, why not rush in earnest desire to be fed? Why wait?

For when the table is set – the seats are ready to get warm. The bread invites us to partake. It’s better if we can crumble it down to the finest it can be. Allowing the sweetness to absorb on our tongues. Ain’t no need to rush this feeling tho. When it’s like a cow chewing cud – 1,000 rotations a minute. This food is fine and yes, delicious to the belly and mind. Eating slowly and slowly.

Tremendous and Superfluous – a race to the finest taste. Guaranteed to be delicious cuz the seasonings make a difference. You may be a little too much or not enough but you’re guaranteed a delicious bite. It’ll make you go Hmmm! I wonder how I didn’t figure it out before? It’s alright tho, cuz it’s delicious when everything is Tremendous and Superfluous!

A Reason Beyond

When you take action against a cause are you doing it because of a reason beyond? That is to say – do we factor in how we judge something based on the intent? We’re not always given insight before we make impulse judgments. (And before you think you don’t – think about how quickly we make them.) There’s very little rhyme or reason as to why people believe what they do. Therefore, we should already have the understanding of the ridiculous from the jump. Surprises don’t have to come so sudden – keep a bit of worry in your pocket at all times.

I remember I would debate with people on how morality arrived in humanity. People like Ravi Zacharias were my heroes because it made perfect sense to me that Morality came from a code. This code had an origin and this origin was from God. I had the *unfounded* belief that people couldn’t just be good. They had to have a REASON!

Ironically, I never did things just to be rewarded by some system that favored my goodness. However, I knew and know a lot of people who think that way. Who think – the only reason why their sane is because of a code they MUST follow. If it wasn’t for the moral code, they’d do what they really want to do. I find this framework somewhat terrifying because codes like plans change. When they change you either adapt or act out against normality.

We don’t always have a reason other than ‘Just Cuz’. This isn’t always sufficient for establishing the ground of our processing ability. For instance, if you’re engulfed in a debate and your argument rests on “cuz I said so’ that’s a fallacy. Now if you say ‘It is what it is’ people get pissed. There isn’t anything really wrong with that statement and I probably say it more often than not. It just is cuz things beyond my reason to understand it make it so. Doesn’t mean that I don’t have anything else to say but I accept things are the way the rock n roll of cause and effect.

Mental Hopscotch can be exhausting when the rules are based on who agrees or who doesn’t. The pressing reason to exist is sometimes enough. Owing autonomy to someone else is really the best you can. This is where respect comes in regardless of your reason. Respecting people in the perception that you consider and have empathy for any human being. Respecting their agency. This should be freely given to everybody. Now asking somebody to submit to your authority or the law – that’s the kind of stuff that is earned.

How can we make a difference in this world if we are so set against each other? At some point we’re gonna have to look each other and face what’s looking back at us. There’s no reason to be afraid. To make rash judgments and be guided by our biases. Some of us ain’t playing this fairly while others. Life is much like driving – you don’t just drive for yourself. They’re other people in the road and some of them didn’t learn the same way or even at all. Despite this, we don’t have to subject to nonsense. There’s a rapid disease spreading currently which exists to dethrone facts.

“In school, rarely do we learn how data become facts, how facts become knowledge and how knowledge becomes wisdom.”
– Neil Degrasse Tyson

Everything always goes back to school. What we learning, what we ain’t. Our whole life gives us a chance to correct backward thinking. No one is safe when knowledge is available to us all. Anyone is capable regardless of where you fit on the spectrum.

There’s a reason beyond that can be found within our memories. Just where we would be without our memories? If memories suddenly vanished from our brains we would repeat the same actions over and over again. You learn based on what has happened and you make the decision to act better to avoid whatever may come against you.

What I’m saying ain’t really new from before..*Back to your regularly scheduled program.*

Yep, we all got programs and we turn off the ones our wires don’t respond to. It’s all connected and at the same time, it ain’t. It means whatever you want it to mean. Which is a lot or a little or simply nothing at all.

The Siren Language

When I wake up from my slumber the sounds are loud and they rumble within my ears. I must meet the day for life has served me some demands. It ain’t like I can sleep in and snooze the clock this time. Those days are gone. If I really wanna make a difference – I got to be about the noise and learn just how well those sound decibels ring.

Sometimes I feel like I can’t even hear myself. I’m going deaf at the noise and I can’t let it go. I’m the one to blame for even as the environment has chosen me, I subject myself to the noise. It’s like being in a stadium filled with crowds cheering. Who’s team would silence be on? If I took the pledge to not say anything until I was awakened – would that make a difference in the game?

It seems we can only muster a small difference if we want to see a big change. We can all take small steps to a vision while having a large heart of ambition. We are all doing something to respond to the noise. A loud conviction is set to awaken a belief inside. We are the messengers of sound – hoping to say something that’ll make somebody listen. Not all of us are listening but the alarms give us the feeling.

I’m having to learn the siren language. The frequency of alarms in which life reminds me to keep up with objectives. Promises that have been made are expected to be kept in spite of the timing of the alarm. The lights are as good as flash signals. As they pulsate in connection with the sounds, my ears vibrate.

I can offer no excuses as to why I did not complete what was already promised in my intent. When you claim you want something, you got to work to get it. The noise is to awaken you from your supposed slumber. Get to business in spite of the vibrations in your sphere.

Trembling noises are setting fire to my tongue, begging me to learn again. It’s like hearing a new language being spoken to you all the time. You might be able to decipher a few words but everything in between is foreign. It’s not always easier committing to learning a new language.

Swedish is my newest language to understand. It’s not necessarily easy and while it shares a resemblance to English the pronunciation isn’t as slippery. Meaning the words don’t flow as cool as I’m used to. Words get caught in between my southern dialect. Swedish is more like sandpaper with deep vibrations as an accent. I have to train myself to talk slower and as if I have mucus in the back of my throat. (This ain’t easy, B)

There’s more to language than just Speaking, Listening (Understanding), and Writing (knowing when to use certain characters in the top of the alphabet. It’s a process and the sirens have been going off for a while in my head.

The siren language teaches me all sounds can be understood if by paying enough attention. It will cost me several frustrations and slurs but with proper listening – I can awaken without disruption. I can’t slack tho. EVERYDAY. I MUST practice. That’s the biggest gripe with it. I have to surround myself with something new and leave no room to slack.

I’ve been blessed with a partner that speaks Swedish among other languages which will make these sirens a bit more durable. (Thanks, Baby Girl <3) Submitting to what I don’t know – to learn. To grow. To not be so stubborn when it comes to learning. I’m working on it – it’s just I need to work a bit harder so my brain can take it all in. Until then….

BTW: I’d hardly call this new Project from The MJ Estate NEW – all of these tracks have been released. If you wanna give us a project feature something never before seen. Something really new, otherwise along with learning Swedish this project is another siren in my ear! 😀
