PRINCE – HITNRUN PHASE TWO (ALBUM THOUGHTS)

HitNRun Phase Two, ALL and Out stands as a remarkable reminder of Prince’s ability to sequence an album. While half of the album was released in some form, it was through this album release the strength of these songs came to focus. If You Can Describe it, It Ain’t Funky! However, a few common adjectives come to mind, when listening.

Bright, Colorful, Soulful, Sensual, Unique, and overall any synonym that rhymes with DELIGHT. A sensation, worth the thrill. You just got to listen. “Counter – Clockwise, Turn You Around – All U Got 2 Do is Listen 2 The Sound – Music Never Lies, U Know It’s True”

3EG PRINCE NPGHORNZ (548)

You can listen on Tidal or get the record through iTunes. It’s available and this is one of the best albums to come out this year. It’s been an incredible year for music, and when you think of the many sounds that can be discovered through Music itself – this will be a great surprise.

I had to discuss this album in some form, even though it is still processing within my music Psyche. With each Two Phases being released so close to each other (Phase One September 7th, And Phase Two  December 12th) – they each are finding a more delightful meaning over listening. It’s worth, listening to each of them back to back, then you’ll really be in for a music nirvana!

Phase Two provides a bit more anticipation as it builds higher with each song. Each song falls into the next, allowing more textures and tones. Phase One was a bit more SLAP in the face, as soon as you hear it – you’re ready to go, go go! Whereas with Phase Two, you are eased into the groove. You can’t help but listen very closely and like Dr. Seuss said it once “Oh! The Places, You’ll Go!”

Prince stretches your ears, and often bends your ideas and reminds you – music is improvisation and free. Arrangements are unique and the sound most of all, get you dancing and that’s just the start! You might end up crying at the end, Dancing in the mall,  grooving hard in the car, or caught in rapture out into the zone. You are guaranteed one of these experiences or them all while listening.

Who/What is/ Characters In The Wind?

2016 is gonna be one of the biggest years yet! I’ve been really discovering connections around the world, and New Zealand has been my latest fascination. I’ll stay there for a couple of months at the start of 2016. Exploring new adventures and territories while also living a life built upon creation and spontaneity. All of this is gonna to be engineered for my Latest Project ‘Characters In The Wind’ due in full manifestation in 2016.

Characters In The Wind is my latest project centered on seven different themes brought to me over time. I’ve realized, if I want to demonstrate what I’ve been seeing and hearing one way to do that is through writing, and film. This is the second time, to me over time select variations of philosophy, deep thinking, and poetry seems to just connect as a conceptual piece. The first was August Feels Like Wednesday, with different themes centered, this is my next project. Seven pieces that will be expressed through spoken word, music, and live documentary with people other than myself. 😀

1 Kaleidoscopic Vortex
2 Plural Arenas
3 Elite Superstar
4 Uniquely Neon
5 Sex Spade
6 Thick Triggers
7 Characters In The Wind

I’ll explore themes about Color, God, Seduction, Inspiration, Paranoia, along with other themes that these titles that rise out of the conversation. I am still understanding what these themes mean over time. But, it’s exciting to actually move forward with a project, that is actually evolving over time. I’m working also with some incredible people, that play a crucial role in my knowledge of these things. I’m operating under the realm of conversation.  Putting myself out there, so that a community of people can come together and make something amazing. 🙂 So you’ll see some hashtags every now and then, and those words will be floating around in a sense. I want discussion and perspective as that give clarity to the discussion!

Be on a lookout for those titles, thrown in and out of time. You can follow here, on my blog to keep updated with the latest information! Visual & Audio pieces will follow on my YouTube Channel.
2016, is due to be a year full of surprises and sudden moments of engagement! #CITW

Irreconcilable Volumes (Hair)

Then there is a variation in how things are perceived. When someone exhales what they truly believe and know based on evidence – the road becomes more narrow as the conversation takes flight. Not all volumes are reconciled when a conversation begins to trickle in the individual opposition. Instead of reacting with ferocious and maneuvering counteracting, what’s best is to present, the internal realities, which often times are dismissed. When playing the rhythm in a setting that is confirmed to rhythmic sequence.
It is not surprising to find the melody. It is, therefore, wise to clarify, the organs and functions that are often forgotten, in the name of lunacy and incoherence. The troubling taunts which pierce the thought; quantify immeasurable blindness. It is in pure joyful sounds which dare to risk comfortable statues. Every volume of inclination, citation, desperation, litigation, and exhalation is immersed in a bowl of anticipated pairing.
Yet a longing for intimacy is requested. Since there is no finalization of union; one is free to enter a space where another can come into union.
Even when you break it down, sometimes things still don’t fully ‘Click’ and measure to a sense of understanding. I’ve been looking in the mirror quite more often because I got a shape UP only a 3 days ago, and I feel like it was one of the worst decisions of my life. My hair just seemed to be working UP a good fro, and this shape UP, seemed to cut off a great deal of it off, but then I look again and I think my mind just does not want to reconcile with the change I made.

^^ This was taken only 6 days ago, and my Afro seemed to be in reconciliation with my expectation! Since my LAST shape UP, which was in April.
I still don’t truly understand why we get shape Up’s’ it’s told they help the hair grow faster and gets rid of the dead ends, but apparently, they also make you feel like you have no hair at all! I did not get much of my hair cut, but it feels like SO much is gone. Although, when I look in the mirror, the eye can’t really say much is gone. My mind is separated from this volume. I took a picture earlier today, to measure if there is such a change and eye can’t see that BIG of a difference.

It’s been on my mind as of late and I just wanted to share how hair, while being something with levels of volume, can sometimes be irreconcilable. You hear about this happening all the time when you regret cutting your hair because you miss it. I miss the little more I had, but it’s only a matter of time before it grows back. ALL of it, and MORE!
At least, I can realize that was THE LAST SHAPE UP, EVER! I’ll grow my hair until it comes out. I think we were meant for the Afro, so mine ain’t going nowhere! 😀
