ThEnDance (Sort of Dead)

ThEnDance (Sort of Dead)

”The dance at the end
Our memories and genetics – will they transcend?
What’s left of the impact we leave behind?
The matrix of life – does it fully unwind?
How are we then able to know?
When death reveals its face – do we all glow?
The insatiable hope that our actions aren’t in vain
That we’ll find a storage facility in some Human brain
Our lives are all but smoke cast into the air
Wishing to be smelled by the nose of those that dare
A compatible willingness to be remembered by the spices of our scent
Various pictures of our taste set aside as a tent in one’s mind
We all long to be remembered with a nostalgic bind
Experiences, memories, and our written history are the makeup of our lives
The dance floor is where we release – our collective archives”

ECHOES IN THE NIGHT

ECHOES IN THE NIGHT

I’m realizing how vague I can be when it comes to what I see and how my perception frames reality around me. I much rather stoke symbolism and innuendo in the cut.

However, I understand the importance of nuance – which is why my latest project ‘The Living Things (7.28.17) will be direct and personal. I’m sharing thoughts I haven’t really revealed before.

One of the most personal and vulnerable pieces on the project is called ‘Echoes In The Night‘ which describes some of my midnight nightmares. I remember waking up from the screaming various trust anchors: Jesus, The Holy Spirit, etc and this was one of the very first indications of my self-examination.

I’ve always been a curious child and questioning the existence of G-d as it was explained in the Bible wasn’t always on my agenda until recently. I was a firm believer in the way of The Word. I held onto it as it fastened my worldview but as all things in life – you grow.

Echoes in The Night is a reminder that even in sound – I can hear myself and get to the reason why.

This video is a part of The Living Things due on 7.28.17 on JesterStory: https://tinyurl.com/ha8jt64

Hello!

I have come to say hi – to invite you to a place of welcome.

Exactly – I’m your greeting and I’ve come to eat with you to establish a relationship.

I don’t ask you anything but to lavish into you a divine introduction.

My first and last is to benefit and approve of your presence.

There have been times you haven’t grasped onto my embrace.

I rather awkwardly lurk by your doorstep than to knock because you never seem to welcome me.

I, however, welcome you, with a sincere jubilation.

That’s right – I’m sure nuff the affirmation of your most distant desire.

I am excited to see you and my feet rave to the melody of your song.

My desire is to reacquaint with the question of your reactions.

I am hello and I have never known of a goodbye. My first and last is never low; so high!

V A N I T Y

VAIN RENE

Like Solomon in the scriptures ranted about: All things are full of weariness – a man cannot utter it. The eye is not satisfied with seeing, nor the ear filled with hearing. What has been being what will be, and what has been done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun. Is there a thing of which it is said, “See, this is new”? It has been already in the ages before us. There is no remembrance of former things, nor will there be any remembrance of later things yet to be among those who come after. (Ecclesiastes 1:8-11 ESV)

I have written down the variables of fatigue in the dreams given by exhaust.

Counting from 0 to Symbolic abbreviations – our time is far received.
Given at the mixture of colors and melodies the sound is louder than exposure.

We are sleeping because of the bright apparel of the jaded consequence of media.

Desire is begged for the heaviest consumption of self-visibility.

Forsaking the notion of those satisfied with usual garbs of length; we excuse our sanction for equality.

By the determinations of cursed indulgence, the mind explores paths to knit with.

Engaging passionately, with the beauty of a name worn by all of those who kNOw not the name of vanity.
